Short Selection of Works
RPS Group

April 2021 - Ongoing | Featured Projects

Currently, I find myself as an Urban Designer at RPS Group, having transitioned from a Place Design Group as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

RPS Group continues to present me with a number of opportunities for growth and challenges, both professionally working in the team setting, and in expanding my professional network within our wider Brisbane consultancy team.

A highlight includes producing a fly-through of the Carseldine Village 'Village Heart,' using a combination of AutoCAD, Sketchup and Lumion.

July 2014 - Ongoing | Urban Design + Architecture

Brisbane Lanterns

I have been fortunate enough to work at three national architectural practices, in Brisbane, to date. Firstly, I was a part of Cottee Parker during my time at university (July 2014 - December 2017), followed by being a part of the team, and family, at Fulton Trotter Architects as a Graduate of Architecture (February 2018 - February 2019). Most recently, while in the Architecture profession, I completed a short-term contract/secondment at Deicke Richards (August 2020 - October 2020)

Ormiston College

In the later stages of 2018, I was presented the opportunity to collaborate on an interactive marketing project with Mellini Sloan; Lecturer of Urban and Regional Planning at the Queensland University of Technology. Mellini took a small group of students to South East Asia, along with a planning exercise, designed to be both educational and a keep sake for those participating. Produced in Illustrator, paper lanterns representing iconic Brisbane buildings were produced, including 180 Ann, QUT P Block and Brisbane City Hall.

I have had the pleasure of being a part of the judging panel for the College's 2018, 2020 and 2022 Biennial Wearable Art Competition and Exhibitions, as seen in the photos above.

Dramanti Artisan Roasters

As an Old Collegian and College Prefect of the Class of 2010, I am so thankful that I am part of the Ormiston College community, even if I did graduate almost 10 years ago! Currently, I find myself a part of the Visual Arts department at the College, assisting the teaching staff by providing additional support and workshop opportunities for the students, ranging from Year 7 to Year 12. Most recently, together, we worked on their skills in Illustrator, and developed their upcoming Wearable Art pieces for the 2022 exhibition.

2018 - 2020 | Graphic Design

Master Studio A + B

Dramanti Artisan Roaster is a local business with two cafes located in Wynnum and Morningside, along with their sister cafe, Shortlist, in the Brisbane CBD. The business decided that it was time to refresh their brand so I received the pleasure of being engaged to explore their new marketing collateral.

Working with Dramanti has given me the opportunity to learn about the pre-press, printing and production processes of a variety of formats. It has also presented me with the opportunity to work with other local businesses to produce the best, and most efficient, solutions for Marija and Dragan Sestic of Dramanti.

The vinyls for the business’ vehicles were designed and produced with Best Signs, based in Morningside, while the team members’ T-shirts were screen printed by The T Shirt Mill, based in West End. Star Outdoor produced the A-Frame and wind barrier signage.

Bio and Contact

As a part of the first of two Master Studios for the year, students were asked to develop a concept design for an art gallery at Sunshine Coast. It was first determined in the design brief that The Junkyard, located in Maroochydore, will allow the public to learn about street art and will provide an escape and a safe place for street artists to come together and learn from one another.

For my final Studio and semester of my Master of Architecture degree, students were asked to deliver a project that would contribute to the reactivation and revitalisation of Nambour, located at the Sunshine Coast.

BIO

Nani Vinsalek

Currently, I am a part of the team at RPS Group, based in Brisbane. Though incredibly rewarding, I am always seeking for new challenges where I can apply and develop skills already obtained, as well as upskill in areas I have not been exposed to yet, which can contribute to expanding my professional experience. In my early career thus far, I have been fortunate enough to have been a part of the environments of Place Design GroupCottee Parker Architects and Fulton Trotter Architects over almost five years of full time and casual employment.

I regard myself as highly competent in AutoCAD, along with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and Lumion. These software packages have been heavily utilised within both a university and professional environment.
